The Huron Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 20th Annual Spirit of Success Awards, presented by OLG.
This milestone year marks two decades of celebrating excellence, innovation, and leadership in our region. For the first time, eligibility extends across all of Huron County, making this a true county-wide recognition of achievement.
Since the first awards in 2006, the Spirit of Success Awards have grown into the Chamber’s marquee event and one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year. These awards shine a spotlight on the businesses, non-profits, volunteers, and community leaders who dedicate their time, energy, and talent to making Huron County a great place to live, work, and visit. Importantly, Chamber membership is not required—any business, organization, or individual in Huron County can be nominated and celebrated.
Last year’s winners demonstrate the diversity and strength of our local economy. Libro Credit Union was named Business of the Year, recognized not only for outstanding financial services but also for its community commitment as a Certified B Corporation. Froggy Fest, organized by WorldRooted: the Art Project for People, received the Community Impact Award for blending art and environmental education in a grassroots festival that drew hundreds of participants. And Eat Local Huron earned the Environmental and Sustainability Award for connecting residents directly with local producers and advancing sustainable food systems. These stories, and many more, reflect the innovation, resilience, and community spirit at the heart of Huron County.
This year, the Spirit of Success Awards will once again highlight a wide range of contributions. Categories include the Young Entrepreneur Award, celebrating the next generation of business leaders; the Volunteer Award, recognizing individuals who give their time selflessly to enhance community life; and the Hospitality and Retail Awards, which honour local businesses that consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences. Together, these categories capture the many ways in which businesses and individuals strengthen the economic and social fabric of our county.
The celebration will culminate at the Spirit of Success Gala on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Libro Hall in Clinton. Presented in partnership with OLG the gala promises to be an unforgettable evening. Guests can look forward to a gathering of community leaders, a showcase of inspiring stories, and a night of recognition for those who go above and beyond to make Huron County thrive.
“Nominations are the heart of these awards,” says Colin Carmichael, Executive Director of the Huron Chamber of Commerce. “They give us the chance to recognize the people and organizations whose long hours, creativity, and dedication keep our county strong. This year, more than ever, we want to hear those stories.”
Nominations are open until October 13, 2025. These awards are open to all – nominees and nominators do not need to be Chamber members. Help us mark 20 years of celebrating local success by submitting a nomination for a deserving business, organization, or individual today.
