The Huron Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Daniel Tisch, President and CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, will deliver the keynote address at the Huron Marine & Economic Forum, presented by Parrish & Heimbecker, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Beach Street Station in Goderich.
Tisch’s keynote will examine Ontario’s trade relationship with the United States and its impact on businesses across the province. He will also highlight the importance of strengthening domestic supply chain infrastructure, and share insights into the Ontario Chamber’s work with U.S. chambers of commerce in Washington, D.C. and the Great Lakes states to resolve trade disputes and reinforce cross-border business ties.
The Forum will also spotlight the Port of Goderich as a strategic economic asset for Huron County. With expansion plans underway, the Port is poised to unlock new opportunities by opening access to global markets through the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway, deepening connections with ports across the system.
About Daniel Tisch
Tisch is a widely recognized leader in business, public policy, and community engagement. He spent two decades building Argyle Communications (now Changemakers) into Canada’s largest management-owned reputation and communications firm, while also serving in senior government roles, including as Acting Chief of Staff to Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. He has represented Canada at the G7 Economic Summit, lectured at Queen’s University since 1996, and provided commentary in national media. In 2025, Tisch was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal for his contributions to his community, the province, and the country.
His breadth of experience—spanning the private sector, government, and international engagement—makes him uniquely suited to frame the challenges and opportunities facing Ontario’s economy at this moment of global uncertainty.
