Power What’s Next: Energy Efficiency Lunch & Learn with ERTH Power

  • Tuesday, June 2
    11:45 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Comfort Inn Goderich
    135 Gibbons Street

The Huron Chamber of Commerce is partnering with ERTH Power to host a free Energy Efficiency Lunch & Learn for local businesses interested in reducing energy use, lowering operating costs, and learning more about available provincial incentives.

Complimentary lunch will be served beginning at 11:45 a.m., with the presentation running from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The session is being offered at no cost, but registration is required.

The event comes at a time when the Ontario government is expanding provincial energy efficiency programs and incentives, creating new opportunities for businesses to invest in upgrades that can improve efficiency, reduce consumption, and support long-term cost savings. For many small and medium-sized businesses, energy costs are a significant operating expense, and even practical improvements such as lighting upgrades, HVAC improvements, equipment retrofits, or process changes can make a meaningful difference over time.

ERTH Power will provide an overview of Save on Energy programs and incentives currently available to businesses. The session will include information on support for lighting upgrades, HVAC improvements, industrial equipment and process upgrades, equipment retrofits, and other energy efficiency projects that may be relevant to commercial, industrial, institutional, and community-based operations.

ERTH Power is a Huron Chamber member and the local electricity distributor serving 25,000 customers across 15 communities. Because ERTH Power specifically serves Goderich and Clinton in Huron County, this session will be particularly relevant for Chamber members and businesses operating in those communities.

“The Chamber’s role is often about connecting businesses with practical information, relevant partners, and opportunities that can help them make stronger decisions,” said Colin Carmichael, Executive Director of the Huron Chamber of Commerce. “Energy efficiency is a good example. Many businesses know there may be programs available, but they may not know where to start, what they qualify for, or which improvements are worth exploring. Partnering with ERTH Power allows us to bring that information directly to local businesses in a clear and accessible way.”

The Lunch & Learn is designed for business owners, managers, and decision makers, as well as facilities, operations, and energy management staff. No technical or energy expertise is required. The goal is to give attendees a practical understanding of what supports may be available, how businesses can begin assessing possible efficiency projects, and what next steps may make sense for their operations.

For businesses in Goderich, Clinton, and the surrounding area, the session is also an opportunity to ask questions, connect directly with ERTH Power staff, and better understand how provincial energy efficiency programs may apply in a local business context.

The Huron Chamber of Commerce continues to work with members and partners across the region to bring timely, practical programming to the business community. Members and local businesses interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance, as space is limited and lunch is complimentary.
