The Huron Chamber of Commerce is proud to launch a new way to connect the business community and the public: Chamber@Work.

This new series complements the Chamber’s popular Business After Five events by offering midday open houses hosted by Chamber members at their places of business. Held during working hours, typically over the lunch period from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Chamber@Work invites the community to step inside, meet local business owners and their teams, and learn more about the diverse businesses that help Huron County thrive.

“Chamber@Work is exactly what the name says — the Chamber in action, highlighting our members and fostering connections right at their workplaces,” says Colin Carmichael, Executive Director of the Huron Chamber of Commerce. “It’s an easy, casual way for people to get to know the businesses and people who make up our community, and just as importantly, it’s a chance to learn more about how the Chamber itself works for them.”

Each Chamber @ Work event serves a dual purpose: giving the host business valuable exposure within the local community while also providing an informal touchpoint for anyone interested in learning more about the Chamber’s work, services, and how membership supports business success in Huron County.

The first Chamber @ Work open house will take place Thursday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wilfred McIntee & Co. Realty office in Wingham, hosted by Jodi Snell, Realtor. Jodi is not only a trusted local real estate professional but also serves as the Chair of the Board of the Huron Chamber of Commerce — making this event an especially fitting launch for the series.

Community members are invited to drop in, enjoy a coffee and a snack courtesy of Tim Hortons, meet Jodi and her colleagues, and learn more about how she and the Chamber work to support a vibrant business environment in Wingham and across Huron County.

No RSVP is needed; everyone is welcome to stop by and say hello!

Businesses interested in hosting a future Chamber@Work event are encouraged to get in touch. There’s no cost to participate — just an opportunity to open your doors, share your story, and help strengthen local business relationships.
