The first regular meeting of the board of the Huron Chamber of Commerce – Goderich, Central and North Huron following the AGM began with the oath of office ceremony. Chair Jennifer Verdam-Woodward and Vice-Chair Tabatha Fisher took the oath of office before Goderich Mayor Myles Murdock.
The board also appointed Mark Bennett of Harbour Hill Retirement Community as a board director until the 2024 AGM.
During the evening, the board also heard from Laurel Teal of Fanshawe College, who discussed the Reboot Plus partnership with the Chamber. There are currently nine students enrolled in the program at the Clinton campus. Over the next 16 weeks, they will explore career options and spend time talking with professionals from among our membership who volunteer an hour or so to share their stories about their chosen career paths.
