Were you aware that under the AODA, all volunteers in Ontario must be trained on accessibility requirements, regardless of their role or interaction with the public?
This year, the Huron County Accessibility Advisory Committee together with the Huron County Accessibility Committee Municipal Working Group, has joined together to create and promote an online information session geared towards organizations, committees, and groups who host events in our communities as well as the volunteers that assist at these events.
The webinar “Building Inclusive Volunteer Practices” will provide information regarding training requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) for volunteers, and where to access this free online training. This training ensures that volunteers understand the Act and can contribute to making services and facilities accessible to everyone.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 12:00 PM – 12:40 PM, via Zoom.
