GODERICH – Team registration for the Huron Chamber of Commerce Charity Golf Tournament is just two days away, with a deadline of Wednesday, Aug. 16.

Gather your friends or co-workers and register for a fun afternoon of golfing 18 holes, followed by a steak dinner at Goderich Sunset Golf Course on Friday, Aug. 25. Tournament title sponsor HuronTel has chosen Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre as the charity of choice for this event.

“The golf tournament has become one of the Chamber’s signature events, because it’s so much fun for the golfers,” said Tom Williscraft, Golf Tournament Chair. “If you are unable to golf, you can still participate as a sponsor, a volunteer, or join us after golf for awards and dinner.”

The tournament begins with a noon shotgun start. Along the way, golfers will compete for various bragging rights, including Hole-In-One, Men’s Longest Drive, Women’s Longest Drive, Men’s Closest to the Pin, and Women’s Closest to the Pin.  They will also receive swag and prizes donated by local businesses.

Registration is $100 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, 1/2 cart, prize and steak dinner.
