The Huron Chamber of Commerce is inviting businesses, golfers, community partners and friends from across Huron County to tee up for a day of networking, team building and community support at the Annual Charity Golf Tournament, presented by HuronTel, on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Woodlands Links Golf Course in Clinton.

The tournament brings together Chamber members and community leaders for a relaxed summer afternoon on the course, followed by dinner, prizes and a chance to support a cause that reaches deeply into the lives of people across the region. This year’s proceeds will support the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre, which works with local food banks and mobile food bank programs to help address food insecurity in Huron County.

For employers, the tournament offers a useful opportunity to bring staff, clients or colleagues together outside the usual work setting. Teams do not need to be made up of experienced golfers, and the event is designed to be social, welcoming and fun for all skill levels. Golfers may register in teams of at least two, making it a flexible option for businesses of different sizes.

“This tournament is one of those events that does several things well at the same time,” says Colin Carmichael, Executive Director of the Huron Chamber of Commerce. “It gives business and community leaders a chance to connect in a relaxed setting, it creates a good team-building opportunity for employers, and it directs support toward an organization doing essential work for people and families across Huron County.”

The Chamber is pleased to recognize HuronTel as the presenting sponsor for this year’s tournament. Their support helps make the event possible and ensures more of the day’s energy can be directed toward bringing people together and supporting the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre. The Chamber also thanks the sponsors and prize donors who are contributing to the success of the tournament.

Last year’s tournament raised $2,000 for the Artemis Huron. This year, the Chamber hopes to build on that success by supporting another organization whose work is felt across the county. In 2025, the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre recorded more than 25,000 visits to the nine Huron County food banks it serves, along with more than 6,000 visits through its Mobile Food Bank program in six Huron County communities.

Registration is $150 per golfer and includes 18 holes of golf, dinner and tournament activities. A dinner-only option is also available for those who would like to join the evening portion of the event without golfing.

Registration and check-in begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 12:00 noon. After the round, participants will gather for a steak dinner, awards and prizes.

Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged. Visit the event page to register or to learn more about sponsorship and prize donation opportunities.
