Huron Accolades is a new way to celebrate the businesses & organizations that make Huron County a great place to live, work, visit, and do business.

When you have a positive experience with a local business or organization, Huron Accolades gives you a simple way to share it. Whether it was excellent service, a memorable meal, a helpful contractor, a standout retailer, a trusted professional, or someone going above and beyond for the community, you can send an Accolade and help tell that story.

Each Accolade becomes a meaningful expression of appreciation that the recipient can receive, celebrate, and share as a testimonial. In addition, submitted Accolades may also support nomination consideration for local awards programs, including the Huron Chamber’s Spirit of Success Awards and the South Huron Business Excellence Awards, subject to each program’s eligibility criteria.

What is Huron Accolades?

Huron Accolades is a shared recognition platform provided by the Huron Chamber of Commerce. It is designed to help residents, visitors, customers, clients, and supporters recognize great local experiences while giving businesses and organizations a practical way to collect and share positive public feedback.

The platform serves two related purposes.

First, it is a year-round testimonials tool. Businesses and organizations can receive Accolades from the people they serve, then share those comments on social media, websites, newsletters, and other marketing materials.

Second, it provides a pathway into local awards programs. An Accolade may also serve as a nomination or support nomination consideration for participating awards programs where the recipient meets the relevant eligibility requirements.

How it works

Someone has a great local experience

A customer, client, donor, visitor, member, or community supporter has a positive experience with a business  organization in Huron County.

They share an Accolade

They submit a short message through Huron Accolades. In some cases, they may find the form by scanning a QR code on a receipt, menu, table-topper, sticker, poster, website, email signature, or social media post. They can also visit the Huron Accolades website directly.

The recipient is notified

The business or organization receives the Accolade by email and can see what was shared. Only the first name of the person sharing the Accolade is shared with the business or organization.

The Accolade can be shared

The recipient can use the Accolade as a testimonial, sharing it on social media, on their website, in a newsletter, or in other marketing materials.

The Accolade may support awards consideration

Where applicable, the same submission may also support nomination consideration for participating awards programs, including the Spirit of Success Awards and the South Huron Business Excellence Awards.

For businesses and organizations

Huron Accolades helps businesses and organizations collect real testimonials from customers, clients, visitors, supporters, and community members.

Positive feedback is valuable, but it often disappears in casual conversations, private messages, or one-time comments. Huron Accolades gives that feedback a place to go, making it easier to capture, organize, and share.

Businesses and organizations can use Accolades to:

Registered participating organizations may receive a unique URL and QR code that links directly to their Accolades form. This makes it easier to invite customers, clients, visitors, and supporters to share an Accolade in the moment.

You do not need to write a formal nomination package or wait for awards season. If a business, organization, or individual made a positive impression, you can share a few words and help shine a light on their work.
