About the Huron Chamber of Commerce

The Huron Chamber of Commerce is an independent, non-profit organization connecting community leaders and strengthening the local economy across Huron County. Representing the business community across eight municipalities, the Chamber is the largest business organization in the county and has played a central role in economic and community development since 1990, with roots dating back to the Goderich Board of Trade established in 1875.

Funded entirely by its members and receiving no base government funding by choice, the Chamber operates as a neutral and credible voice for business. This independence allows the Chamber to bring together businesses, municipalities, Business Improvement Areas, the Bayfield Area Chamber of Commerce, and other partners to address issues that no single organization can tackle alone.

The Chamber focuses on connecting the right people at the right time, advocating for business interests, and helping members understand and respond to changing economic conditions. Through events, peer networks, communication, and collaboration, the Huron Chamber works to ensure that Huron County remains a strong place to live, work, and do business.

Membership in the Chamber reflects a commitment to leadership, collaboration, and the long-term success of the local economy.
